The lentils have the protein, and the oats and linseed hold them together. The patties turn crisp outside and soft inside, and cold the next day they go on bread.

Ingredients

Forservings
  • 200 ggreen or brown lentils
  • 100 gOnion
  • 100 gCarrot
  • 50 gRolled oats
  • 15 gLinseed, cracked (1 tbsp)
  • 20 gCanola oil (2 tbsp)
  • Garlic, cumin, peppers, parsley, salt, pepper

How to make it

  1. Cook the lentils soft for twenty-five minutes, drain them, mash them roughly.
  2. Finely grate the onion, carrot and garlic, knead with the lentils, oats, linseed, spices and parsley, chill for thirty minutes.
  3. Shape six patties and fry them in the oil for four minutes a side.

One tip

If the mixture is too soft, add more oats. Too dry, a spoon of water.
