Like falafel, only from a tin and from the pan: the balls are not deep fried but cooked in a little oil. With a dip of soya yoghurt and lemon.
Ingredients
Forservings
- 240 gChickpeas, drained
- 40 gRolled oats
- 40 gOnion
- 15 gPlain flour (1 tbsp)
- 15 gOlive oil (1 tbsp)
- 100 gSoya yoghurt, plain
- 10 gLemon juice (2 tsp)
- Parsley, cumin, paprika, garlic, salt
How to make it
- Roughly mash the chickpeas with a fork or in a blender and mix with the oats, finely diced onion, garlic, parsley, spices and salt.
- Knead in the flour and chill for 20 minutes.
- With wet hands shape walnut-sized balls.
- Fry them in the oil over medium heat for eight minutes all over until brown.
- Stir the soya yoghurt with lemon, salt and garlic and serve alongside.
One tip
Do not mash too finely: whole pieces give the balls structure and bite.
