The snack that looks like a vegetable and crunches like a crisp. The trick is little oil, low heat and space on the tray.

- 150 gKale, stems removed
- 10 gOlive oil (1 tbsp)
- Salt, paprika
How to make it
- Oven to 150 degrees. Wash the kale, dry it very well, tear it into bite-sized pieces.
- Work the oil, salt and paprika through it with your hands until every leaf carries a thin film.
- Spread on a tray with space between, bake for 20 minutes, turning after ten. Eat straight away.
One tip
Wet kale never crisps. Salad spinner, then a tea towel.
