The usual pasta salad drowns in mayonnaise. This one gets by on a spoonful of oil and still carries over 50 grams of protein.

Ingredients

Forserving
  • 70 gPasta, dry weight
  • 150 gTinned tuna, drained
  • 100 gTinned sweetcorn, drained
  • 150 gTomatoes
  • 30 gRed onion
  • 10 gOlive oil (1 tbsp)
  • Salt, pepper, vinegar
  • 60 gIceberg lettuce

How to make it

  1. Cook the pasta as it says on the packet, drain and rinse it cold.
  2. Chop the tomatoes and onion.
  3. Mix everything with the tuna and sweetcorn.
  4. Season with oil, vinegar, salt and pepper.
  5. Fold in the shredded iceberg lettuce.

One tip

Buy tuna in brine, not in oil. That saves around a hundred calories, and in a salad you will not taste the difference.
