The wok dish every delivery place has, and it turns out better at home: the meat is marinated with cornflour and soy sauce so it stays tender, and the broccoli stays green.
Ingredients
Forserving
- 160 gBeef in fine strips
- 200 gBroccoli
- 20 gSoy sauce
- 5 gCornflour (1 tsp)
- 10 gSesame oil (2 tsp)
- 70 gRice, raw
- 5 gSesame seeds (1 tsp)
- Ginger, garlic, a pinch of sugar
How to make it
- Cook the rice. Mix the meat with half the soy sauce and the cornflour.
- Blanch the broccoli florets in salted water for two minutes and drain.
- Get the oil in the wok very hot, sear the meat for one minute, take it out.
- Fry the ginger and garlic briefly, add the broccoli, the meat, the rest of the soy sauce, the sugar and a splash of water, toss for a minute, sesame over the top.
One tip
The cornflour on the meat thickens the sauce at the end. So no flour, no cream, nothing.
