Teriyaki is a sauce of four things that thickens in the pan: soy sauce, honey, ginger, garlic. The chicken shines in it and the rice takes the rest.
Ingredients
Forserving
- 180 gChicken breast
- 70 gRice, raw
- 60 gEdamame
- 40 gOnion
- 25 gSoy sauce
- 10 gHoney (2 tsp)
- 10 gCanola oil (1 tbsp)
- 3 gCornflour (½ tsp)
- 5 gSesame seeds (1 tsp)
- Ginger, garlic
How to make it
- Cook the rice, adding the edamame for the last three minutes.
- Whisk the soy sauce, honey, ginger, garlic, cornflour and three tablespoons of water together.
- Fry the diced chicken in the oil for four minutes, add the onion, two minutes more.
- Add the sauce and cook for a minute until it glistens. Onto the rice, with the edamame and sesame.
One tip
The sauce thickens in seconds. Pan off the heat as soon as it glistens.
