The skewers from the street stall: chicken marinated in coconut milk and turmeric, grilled hard, with a peanut sauce you would happily eat with a spoon.

- 30 gPeanut butter (2 tbsp)
- 60 mlCoconut milk
- 15 gSoy sauce (1 tbsp)
- 10 gLime
- 10 gHoney (2 tsp)
- 10 gCanola oil (1 tbsp)
- Garlic, ginger, turmeric, coriander, chilli
How to make it
- Cut the chicken into strips and marinate for 30 minutes with half the coconut milk, the turmeric, garlic, ginger and honey.
- For the sauce stir the peanut butter, remaining coconut milk, soy sauce, lime juice and chilli smooth, thinning with water if needed.
- Thread the meat onto wooden skewers.
- Fry them in hot oil or on the grill for three minutes a side.
- Serve with the peanut sauce and coriander.
One tip
Soak wooden skewers for 20 minutes, otherwise they burn in the pan.
